My mother-in-law gave me her old leaf blower and she does not have the manual to it. How do I get it started? I figure there should be a primer or choke (like a lawn mower) but I cannot seem to locate them. Please help!
Some of the higher end power tools have the choke on the same lever as the run and stop. If so you will move that lever all the way opposite of stop and may have to engage a throttle lock. When it starts take if off choke. There may also be a compression bypass valve that you may push in to make it easier to start.
I had a Husqvarna chainsaw and my Stihl chainsaw is like that.
If this doesn't help get the model number and google it.
