I have them both and I need to know the years.

Model 111 - 1979 to 1985
Model 180 - 1985 to 1990

The site below will tell you the exact year your tractor was made based on serial number for the Model 111 only. It does not have the data for the 180.

read title. It has a 17 hp Kawasaki 1 cyl. engine. 46 inch cut. Nice tractor. Recamended you buy this kind.

I am looking for a riding lawn mower that discharges the clippings through the rear/back of the mower like the John Deere LTR 180 does.
Are there any other makers that do this style?

I was driving my john deere LT 180 the other day. It has just rained and i went out to mow the lawn cuz we had some guests coming over. As i got to the end i noticed the engine started to shut down and then it idid. I turned off the mowers turned it back on but it would go back to full power. I shut it down turned it back on and black smoke started to come out. Turned it off did it again and i drove back to the garage but this time it went to full power. So i need to bring it in for service? The oil was changed last summer and only about 5 hours have been on it since.
Btw how often do u change oil?

Sounds to me like the float valve in the carb was being temporarily held open a bit by a piece of unwanted crud, allowing the fuel level in the carb to get too high.

Try draining the fuel bowl and seeing what junk comes out, look in the fuel filter for junk and maybe replace it, look in the gas tank to see what stuff might be in there.
