I am interested in finding a lawn mower repair service that will come to your house, but I have not been able to locate one in the Yellowpages or Google. Please help!

Why not just call ANY lawnmower repair shop and ask them who does this? Maybe one of their guys wants a side job. Or, try a small engine repair place. Maybe they know.

You gotta love Briggs and Stratton engines! I charged 60 instead of 75.

i just got a real good deal on a commercial snapper riding mower that needed some rear end work done on it. otherwise the engine and mower are in excellent shape. i need to get a repair/maintenance manual for the mower and the briggs&stratton ohv engine. i do not want one of the generic/ all mower manuals that clymer sells!! i want one that is specific for my mower!! any help????????????thanks!!!!!!

Bought a Poulan lawn mower in April filled it with oil and started mowing,and burnt out the engine, it has a 1 year warranty. Repair shop said they won`t replace or repair under warranty, plus we owe them for the service.

You should check the oil level every time you start the mower.

The repair shop isn't trying to "screw" you. The oil may not have burned out, but if you had a leak, it could have leaked out.

Running a lawnmower without oil will destroy it in about 3-5 minutes, less if it's really hot.

Chalk it up as a life lesson, and read and study the owner's manual more carefully the next time.

While removing the lawn mower blade for sharpening I tipped the mower to the wrong side and the oil must have spilled into the motor as it only runs at about half-power now and stalls and sputters constantly. Is there anyway to flush it out or will it eventually burn itself off the parts ? It must not have leaked into the carburetor as it doesn't smoke when running. There is no service centre near me and I must do all my own repairs.

Tipping to the wrong side means that it was tipped with the air filter pointing down toward the ground....A very common mistake made.....This does in fact foul the air filter..........

The idea of removing the spark plug and pulling over might help. But I am guessing that if you check your air filter it will be soaked with oil....Unless it is a foam filter it will need to be replaced.

Just for grins remove the air filter and run the mower.....I bet it runs at max warp when you do so..........

Remember when tipping to clean or sharpen blades that the unit needs to have the air filter up to the sky..........

When you do in fact correct the problem be sure to check the oil and top off as necessary........
