I was mowing yesterday when the drive belt fell off. I put the belt back on and finished mowing the yard. This morning I noticed a large puddle of oil under my mower. I checked it and found the right drive pump was empty. Should I refill it and try to mow again or should I take it in for repairs?
Thanks for the opinions. Your right I bet it is a seal. Guess it's going to cost me 54$ an hour to find out. :-(
I wouldn't chance it...... probablly a simple seal broke loose..... better then a whole pump if it ran out while mowing.

Take the mower back to where you got it and ask them to either reair it or give you you're money back. Then you could go and buy a "Good" mower.
This is not an uncommon problem. But because it is so new, you don't want to mess with it yourself. That is why they have warranty programs. There are many better mowers to choose from, though..
Try a Toro, Snapper, Jd, Simplicity, ...or any other brand for that matter.
Sorry, I didn't know that it was out of warranty. These usually have a 2 or 3 year warranty...you might check on the owners manual or check the Tro-bilt website to see exactly how long the warranty is for your unit.
