It's time for me to cut the grass and before winter, I took out my battery. I'm unsure on how to connect it back. I can read where the battery has the (+) positive & (-) negative, but the cords confuse me. I have one red cord and one green cord. I'm not sure which one goes on the positive and which one goes on the negative.
Green is Negative
Red is Positive.
If you get the wiring wrong the mower will just spin in reverse. :)

Can someone take a look at my picture to see if I wired my lawn mower right with my battery? The reason I'm asking is when I had the wiring wrong, the blade was spinning backwards, but my charger was working and showing red (which means my battery needs charged). Now, with the wiring I'm showing in the picture, the blade spins the right way, but when I plug in the charger, no lights come on. To me, it seems it makes sense that it's wired right because the blade spins in the right direction, but does anyone know why my battery charger isn't lighting up? If the wiring is correct, may you tell me it is, so I can at least put that much to rest and try and buy a new charger.

The only two cords I need to know about are the green and red one. If they are right. The black one is already connected to the mower.
Your wiring appears to be correct. If you have some cash to spare try getting a new charger.

Hello Helpful People,
I have a corded lawn mower (Black & Decker 19" Electric LAWNHOG™ Mulching Mower) and many of the 18v DeWalt power tools. I would love to run my lawn mower on one of my 18v DeWalt batteries. I know B&D makes a new 24v cordless lawn mower but the one I have is in great condition and I don't want to shell out another $450 just to run cordless.
My yard is not all that big and should be able to run on the 18v if I can find a conversion kit.
Does anyone know if anyone makes this? I have searched a few different keywords but not getting any of the results that I am after.

It's possible, but you might have to replace the AC motor with a DC motor or use a DC/AC converter to convert the DC into 120V AC, but that would make the machine very heavy. Either way it's going to be complicated. I would recommend you keep your tool the way it is if your yard's not too big and if you don't want the mess of making your tool cordless.
