Recently bought this lawn mower. It's heavy, hard to push when there's 4 blades of grass in the 40l box. Constantly get's choked with grass so needs cleaning every 5 minutes and sometimes sucks itself to the garden rather than hover!
Anyone else think this mower is rubbish?
It's a flymo.
If you are the type to mow your lawn every 3 days - then flymo's are for you. Otherwise - get something else.
I find you need wheels to push things along - the bigger the better.
Flymo's hover - so if you have grass over 1/2" high - they are no good. Plus - you get half a ton of grass in the borders - so more weeding !
If you are at all handy - try and get an old Atco cylinder mower. They were built before mowers were considered disposable - so will last for 100 years if looked after, give a perfect cut, carry half a ton of grass no problem, and be reliable and safe.
Flymo's rarely last over 8 years - there are more of those at the dump than any other.

I have a SupaSwift Garden Compact ride on lawn mower and I would like to find a maintenance manual and part list for it. The mower appears very similar to others selling around the world such as MountField, Stiga & Castelgarden.
Even though there are so many branded variations of the mower I'm finding it difficult to find the actual manufacturer.
Anyway, ideas on finding documentation to maintain and repair the mower would be appreciated.
Keep a watch on eBay. From time to time you can find manuals for just about anything on there. I've known people to buy manuals for things I've never heard of before.
i own a lawn care buisness and am in need of a compact tractor
Your best bet is to check equipment specific sites like MachineFinder or IronSearch. You can search particular zip codes, prices and you'll probably get more results then you would from Craigslist or Ebay (IMO).
I put links to them in the source. Good Luck!

make sure that there is no grease on the belt or the cam that it sits on,
make sure that the belt guard is on.
start with the clutch in the correct position, and the accelorator int eh correct position. starting from a stopped position an not holding the clutch or having the engine rev a lot from startup will make the belt put/jump off.
might do good with a service.
Flymo Hover Compact 350 – Hover Collect Mower. « Best Electric ...
Bought this a few days ago, it was very easy to install and it was a dream to use. He does not side well, but it will slide forward and back with very little effort. The grass will not blow but the majority ends well packed in the basket easy to remove grass. I need to empty the trash four times over an area of 10m2. It has a solid steel blade that cut efficiently – My garden is no show piece and the cut was generally tidy enough for me. I had a Flymo before – it took fifteen years before the engine Blew – I expect the same level of quality and reliability of the latter. This mower is currently 60 quid at Argos.
Oh dear. This must be the second worst point of gardening after electric rechargeable strimmer useless Red Devil dramatically. The Flymo seemed pretty well built and with some neat design touches, but lasted just one season of mowing before the front guide roller disposed. I noticed they were integrated into the body was cracked. A mowing later and they wriggled totally free. During the next mowing season, the "engine" began to smoke. Flymo did not know, and he was replaced by a Rotak 43. Goodbye forever, Flymo! Bosch provides a much better finish, but there are certain elements that I miss the Flymo – the easiest to visualize and grassbox empty, and assembly of cables and security. Somehow, however, mowing seems to take half the time now. . .
HC330 Flymo Hover Compact Lawn Mower 33cm Cut 1400w
Just bought a Flymo Vision Compact 350, horrified by the amount of grass clippings discharged into the air and on my shoes and hair, I think it is called "The One Grass Collection System" hah! In the longer cut of the machine is noisy and vibrates excessively. Despite the claims of the machine is light and difficult to maneuver.
