The walmart one I have stinks and isn't worth it. I am looking for a good propelled gas lawnmower with a mulching and rear bag for thick grass that I don't have to choke on the exhaust fumes, like I do with this $100 one from Walmart. In the heat it is hard pushing a mower when it doesnt want to be pushed, and when you pull the cord to start it doesnt start, tired of all that , want something better that is under $289. Appreciate all lawn fans replies.
I bought the Troy-Built one at Lowes with the electric start for $299.00 at Lowes. I love it. Best mower I have ever had. Just turn the key to start. Self propelled front wheel drive rear bagger and mulcher. Has the bigger wheels in back so it manuvers better. It has a Briggs and Stratton motor and a steel cutting deck. Make sure you dont get anything but a steel cutting deck unless you want to replace it in 2 or less years from rust.
This is my rechargeable lawn mower . I charge it using solar panels I bought from Harbor Freight . I#39;m making an attempt to rid myself from ...
something under $400......we dont have a big backyard but would like to have a good one so it lasts for a long time. we had a electric one but my husband got tired of the wire dragging around so now we want a gas mower...
anyone know of a good brand? we are currently looking at the ones at sears, home depot and canadian tire.....

Hey Daylilly,
I like the John Deere - had a lot of mowers but it is the best from a mechanical perspective. The first site shows the one I bought. For a little more money, you can get some added features like a battery start (which I guess is a possible point of failure).
For mowing a lawn, the old push reel mowers do the best job, least damage to each blade of grass, most uniform height. The power reel mowers are over the price you mentioned
i was wondering if a gas lawn mower is a better value or if a electric mower is just as good and easy to use? i am leaning towards the electric mower so can any one give me any info or a site where i can compare the 2 with pros and cons
well electic mowers of corse, are easier to use and requer little to no maintence, no oil, gas, or needing to greese and fittings. though, with an electric mower, you do have to worry about the electric cord and you cant let your grass get to long or the mower wont be able to handle it. gas, you get more toque and power out of the engine. you can cut right through foot tall grass without killing the motor, were with an electric lawn mower, it wont be ablet o handle it. and like the person said before me, the new lawn mowers are extremely easy to use. some even come with electic start, and as long as you do all the maintence on them, they will last 2-3 times longer then an electic mower. take a look at some of the new gas mowers made by toro, you might like them. i have a toro that is 10 years old and still runs like a champ. i would go with gas, but itsup to you. good luck with your new lawn mower

I want to be able to store it in a 20 lb propane tank which means I need to compress it. (That's the average size tank that mounts on a small trailer)
H2 at the maximum pressure the tank can hold has a density of .075 pounds/cf. This means you can get .05 pounds of H2 in the tank. H2 has 50,000 BTU/lb so you can store 2500 BTU's (if you fill the tank with propane, it will hold 400,000 Btus some 150 times as much energy). This amount of H2 is equal to 2.5 ounces of gasoline. A lawn mower will use .5 ounces per minute or more, so your tank will last 5 minutes.
You will need a compressor to put the H2 into the tank. H2 compressors are very exotic and the smallest ones cost $10,000. Looks like you will need some cash to get started...
After I start it up, the motor just dies. I have gas in it. I can't figure it out.
Clean the air filter with starter fluid. Take out the foam and spray out the gunk. Reinstall.

Of lawn mowers to cut the grass in a small private garden use.
There are also riding lawn mowers, which are very large and used for large gardens, lawns and the street park.
There are also some multi-gang mowers, which used by the Gardner to mow large areas, such as gold courses. They are driven with the aid of a tractor.
Where the mowers areconcerned, you will certainly need to fix it is not rare. They are certainly the amendment to the blade quite often. You should also ensure that you get the right to partially or not at all. This is very important indeed.
So let us discuss various The blades are the most important part of this machine. You have to go for the gardening store and select the best hand. You should ensure that it is properly sharpened. In general, if the blade is out of shape, these machines will be useless. The grasses are not cut properly and the garden looks very ugly. This will have the opportunity to change the blades.
