I have some problem about John Deere Riding Lawn Mower. I’m an international student, so maybe I can’t describe well but I try to say clearly about my problems. I'm now having a part-time job which is cutting lawn in my college and my boss went to vacation this week. Unfortunately, once my boss left, I got some trouble today. At the beginning, the mower could run but it didn’t cut grass. So I thought maybe the belt was loose and I checked it and replaced a little bit, then it worked well. However, in the afternoon, by my careless, I touched some metals on the ground (I don’t know what it is), then I heard some a loud noisy under the lawn and I was scarred at first. And it seems like the two blades conflicted each other. I don’t know why they will meet each other. After a while, I restarted the mower, it didn’t cut grass again. Then I checked again, it seems that only the left blade works and the right doesn’t work. So I lay down and tried to twirl the right blade. Then I restarted mower again, the two blades conflicted and made a very loud noisy again. I don’t know what’s the problem could anyone help me? Thank you so much!
you bent a blade or else you bent a piece of the deck and thats whats hitting the blade it could be either 1 lift the mower by the front and try to spin the blade also look under the deck to see if you see any shiny parts thats what hitting if its just a piece of the deck thats bent use a big hammer to knock it out. then what the boss dont know wont hurt him good luck
YES, I#39;m an idiot, I know it, you don#39;t have to flame me! YES this is really bad for your lawn mower! NO you should never do this!!! But ...
I have a John Deere LT155 Riding mower. Today when I started i up i took it out of the garage and it started to make a grinding sound. When I pushed the parking brake, it stopped. Does any body know whats wrong?
Sounds like your parking cable/mechanism is rubbing on the pulleys under it. Then when you put the brake on, it tightens and lifts out of the way. Check the parking brake cable and see where its hitting.
just bought a house with 2 acres in WI, steep incline on part (more than 45 degrees and mud under the grass). Tried a little (lowest model of riding style mower) john deere and it kept wanting to tip and it would loose traction on the hills What to do????? Prior owners had very expensive lawn service. Is there a machine I can get to tackle this task?? Thanks, Catherine
I would recommend a zero turn rider. The will get the job done quickly and be able to handle the hills. Just do not cut across the hill, but with the hills. Cub cadet makes a decent model of zero turn for around $3500. Just get the better model the zt. Do not get the rzt, they are cheaper, but so is the quality.

We are the proud owner of a John Deere riding lawn mower. Rarely have i got any troubles with it, but sometimes I must replace certain parts. Even the highest quality machines, such as the John Deere, will require work done on them at some time even if it’s just routine maintenance.
I have found that my Deere mower is simple to work on, and the guide supplies excellent direction on how to repair it.
