Lawn Mower Hand

Answers

What happens to a hand lawn mower when instead of gas only. You added an oil/gas mixture.?

I added this mixture to my hand operated lawn mower instead of gas only.

it will smoke like hell and you may foul out the spark plug. Drain as much as you can out of the tenk, and then top off with fresh fuel. This should dillute it enough for the engine to run normally.
Good Luck.

Hand Push Lawn Mower - Should I buy one?

I hate mowing the lawn - hate it, hate it, hate it! A friend recently suggested that I should try a hand push lawn mower, to remind me of a simpler time and because it might actually do a better job on my lawn too.

Any hand lawn mowers out there available to give me some advice?

I personally prefer hand push lawn mowers to electric hover mowers. I feel more pride in my lawn once it's done, knowing that I've achieved that with what I'd consider simpler and more traditional tools. With that said, its not for those who are afraid of a little exercise as it can be hard work.

Ideally you want a mower with a 20" frame as it cuts down on the effort you have to put in and gives the best results on your lawn (in my experience).

Have a look at the Scotts 2000 model (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00004R A3E?ie=UTF8&tag=yoga089-20&linkC ode=as2&camp=1789&creative=39095 7&creativeASIN=B00004RA3E) - this one in particular has good quality parts, unlike cheaper models I've tried in the past, that will give you good results first time and will last as long as you do!

You'll also be saving money on electricity/gas, which is always a good thing.

Happy mowing!

What type of petrol do I use in my Mountfield Laser 35 lawn mower?

I've just bought a second hand lawn mower, a Mountfield Laser 35 (Briggs & Stratton engine) but I'm not sure if I can use unleaded?

It should be unleaded, mine as a Briggs & Stratton engine and is unleaded.

Why is it easier to pull a lawn mower or a hand truck than to push it?

Physics at work

To pull a object is always easier than to push whenever the force is applied at an angle to the object. As the horizontal component of force will act to move the object.
(i)if we push than----- the Vertical component of force will press the object downward and the friction will be more
(II)if we pull than------- the Vertical component of force will act upward and the friction will be less.

How do you use your electric lawn mower?

We received a electric lawn mower as a gift (it's a second hand mower) my husband has been using it for several months. The only way he can use it without cutting the electrical cord is pushing and pulling the mower with one hand while pulling, pushing, picking the cord with the other. I think it takes double the time cutting the lawn with this machine....is there a tip that you can give us? maybe something we don't know, like a retractable electrical cord...I don't know....something that you can use to be able to push the machine with both hands

BTW "The Man": 'Electric' would mean..... electricity. 'Battery-powered' would mean.... battery. DUH.

I have an electric; takes a few uses to get the hang of it. Most have a handle that 'flips' from one side to the other, so that the cord stays on the same side of the mower, and you don't have to walk backward, or drag the mower - both of which can be dangerous. Check your mower to see if it has a hinge at the bottom, where the handle attaches to the mower. If so, then you should also have a lever that will unlock the handle and allow you to flip it over to the other side.

Once you figure that out: start mowing closest to where you've plugged in, and walk away from it; make sure that where the cord plugs into the handle stays closest to the 'plug in' point at your house. Then, as you mow further away, the cord stays on the grass that's already been mowed.

10 Cars You#39;re Embarrassed To Lust For

We’ve all been caught in the act at one time or another, haven’t we? No matter how careful you are to check under the car seats, delete the call log on your phone or wipe out the cookies on your computer before the significant other asks, “Why were you at a website called tinytrannyhookers.com?”, sooner or later we all get busted.

It’s like that for gear heads, too. Some of our tastes and preferences defy description: we know enough to run screaming from a particular make and model, yet we’re strangely compelled to comb eBay in search of pristine examples at fire sale prices. Maybe we’ll find one that’s priced right, or maybe we’ll buy the one example that was mechanically reliable.
