Is there a way to attach some wires and levers to be able to steer a self propelled lawn mower? I want to make it be controlled like an RC car. Is there a site or a place where I can buy a system or the necessary parts?

It's an old Victa ride on.. about 12 years old and steering is tedious and heavy.. how can i make it power steering?
try lifting weights. its you that is the problem and not your mower. they do not make a riding mower that is easy to turn.unless you get a zero turn type mower. spend the money or start working out.
I have looked at John Deere & Troy, don't know if I can even drive one, but think I would get used to it. But are they worth the price?

I've noticed lately when mowing the lawn, the brakes haven't been working very well - which poses a problem as our yard (3+ acres) slopes at a 30 degree angle in some spots. sometimes when TRYING to stop, i'll whip the lawnmower steering wheel to the left or right so i'm going BACK up the hill just to keep from dropping off into no nanc land at the bottom!
