I have a White outdoors lawn tractor/mower makes a racket after brother/law stood it up for a week sharping the blades now it will crank and run for about 20minutes it will mow (pull) but some thing has to be gettin hot and stoping it what could it be
added oil to rear in and changed oil
the motor is not going dead it just stops pulling will not front or back

try changing the oil, when he stood it up it probably drained out....

I am trying to figure out which way to go. I have heard of people having an ATV/4 wheeler and getting a pull behind mower and tiller(self powered), also a snow plow. Are there ATV's with PTO's?? What size engine would you need to have. I have 3.5 hilly acres to take care of. Also considering a NorTrak tractor or a used kubota. I have been able to check out riding mowers but do not know about ATV's or small tractors. Any info would be appreciated.

I want to build a set of disc from saw blades. I read John Deere, the big tractor man, got his start by using old worn out saw blades and building disc to cut dirt that was sticking to other types of plows.
I have a 12 H.P. riding mower and intend on taking the mower deck off and useing it to plow about an acre of land, give or take 9/10's of an acre, lol.
I need to learn what the angles the blades are set at, how much of a bowl shape they have, meaning the depth of the disc laying flat, and anything else you can tell me about them.

I also need to know where to get the lugged AG type tires on the wheels for the mower, Cheap.
I am thinking of cutting two sets of wheels and welding the center of the mower wheels to a set of 13" or 14" mud and snow tires.
I think I have a set, but not sure what size they are.
Would they be good enough to get traction in the dirt on a little 12 hp mower?
I need some help on this because I don't have much money.

I have a John Deer ride on lawn mower. And It seems to start fine, but as soon as the engine gets going, and I should be pulling back off the choke, the engine starts doing this deep pulsating thing, like its revving up, and then losing it, revving up, then losing it again. And it just consistently runs like that unless I push the choke back in. I know the point of the choke is to restrict air flow and enrich the fuel mixture, but does that mean that the engine is getting too much air when i pull the choke off? If it runs fine with the choke completely on, does that mean its a good idea to just keep running it that way because it runs smoothly? Thanks for reading, your thoughts would be much appreciated. Thanks.

its being starved of fuel thats why it runs normally with the choke open. it wont do any harm but a service would be the best move.
