Hey I was wondering if any of you would know where I could find either deck parts, or a used mower deck that would fit on a 1976 or equivilant riding lawn mower?? I need a pully, and a quill set.

Bought this riding lawn mower for $50 and figured I#39;d upload a video of it because i have never seen any other quot;Nomaquot; or Murray ...

they both have 38" decks the murray is 12 hp and the craftsman is 11hp

The older Craftsman mowers were made by Murray so if it looks like the same deck then they will swap out easily.

Most of the differences between Murray and Craftsman were only cosmetic, but occasionally they did use different engines.

Newer Craftsman mowers are made by MTD and will have noticable differences.

Belts have numbers on them. That is used for identification. I buy all my belts at Carquest (auto parts store) They should be able to set you up easily and in your town. If you dont have one of them just call the auto parts place to see if they could help you. Take the belt with when you go in to get one.

the model number is 38633x92a is there a diagram i could look at im not seeing how it hooks up unless Im missing a piece help please. lawn is getting long and i live in texas its to hot to use a push mower

That's a pretty old piece ! I could not find any manuals online. Will try the Library if it is open tomorrow .There should be a set of brackets [ ] on top of the mower deck ,that when you lift up the deck should meet somewhere under the seat ,pipe ?and have holes going through where you a bolt through and put a nut on the bolt. You may have worn things down pretty good and there is not much left.

I have a problem with the belt comeing off when I start off.and when I am mowing.I'am looking for an easy way to level it.

If you have an older mower look how the deck is suspended and see if there are adjustments or worn parts. Unless you are sure that the unlevel deck is the problem, I suggest that you check for belt and pulley wear. I had a similar problem with my Cub Cadet and had to replace pulleys and belt to correct it. Good luck.
