I need to take my new tractor lawn mower to have service at the end of summer. I do not have a trailer for it, and I was planning to use the back of my truck to carry the lawnmower to the dealership. Will the tailgate be strong enough to support the weight of the lawnmower without damaging it? If not, are there ramps for sell that will distribute the weight on the bed of the truck instead of the tailgate? Thanks!

You shouldn't have any problems. One thing to watch out for are those speed bumps or dips in road. That will cause a pretty strong force on the tailgate if you hit them to fast.

One other thing....check to see which end is the heaviest...put that part up in the bed and the lightest on the tailgate.

Is it legal to drive a ride on lawn mower on the street from place to place when cuttin peoples lawns? and is it legal to drive the ride on mower on the street just for leisure fun, basiclly to just go for a drive on it?

i don't know about Canada but i do know in pa at least your aloud to drive it on the road if you have a valid drivers license and one of those orange triangle on the front or back. so maybe it's something similar I'd say go to you local police station or municipal building and ask.

After running for about 20 minutes the tractor dies out, just as though it's not getting gas. The plug and gas filtter are new, the air filter is clean, and the seat switch is new. The engine is a
briggs & Stratton 17 HP. After the engine is cold the tractor will
start again and run for for another 20 minutes. The dealer had it for 2 weeks and could not determine what the problem was.
That cost was $850 and the best soution that he had was for
me to sell my house & buy a house with a lawn that could be mowed in 20 minutes. The tractor is only 2 years old. Any help or suggestions I could get to solve this problem would be greatly appreciated.

A JD has a two yr. mfg warranty and if a dealer told you such nonsense I'd contact the mfg directly. I've worked with JD and they do not take lightly that type of unprofessionalism from their authorized dealers! Who did you buy it from and did you purchase an extended warranty?

The manual says that it takes a 12v 35AH (amp hours). The terminals are like those on a car battery--round posts on top. Can you help me find a replacement and are there other ways to indicate the 32AH like 800 amps, and so on?

Measure the height, width, and length of the battery. Make a little drawing of the top indicating the position of the posts (positive and negative) and take the measurements, drawing and the information you do have to a dealer.
