I am thinking about buying a Troy built, lawn mower. Does ne 1 think this is a good idea?

Troy built, zero radius, Kohler 22 hp engine used to cut about 3 acres of lawn regularly. Would another brand be better than this? Any ideas or recommendations?

You will just be buying a popular name brand, that's all. Shop around at places like Home Depot, Lowe's, or some farm supply stores for a cheaper brand that will do the same job. All have about the same warranty.

Troy Built Lawn Mower?

My husband has a 2000 Troy Built Lawn Mower and is looking for a bagger for it. He has went to the website, but no luck. He is hoping to get a bagger number. Anyway, the Model # is 13AQ609G063, if anyone knows where to find one or can specifically help. Thanks!

Most baggers are universal anyway- any home improvement store would carry them. Be prepared to spend around $300-500 for one tho.
It shouldnt be difficult to hook up either, a frame bolts to the back of the tractor chassis, the bagger hood and bags hang from this , while the shute hooks to the deck with a small bungee cord, somtimes this lil tab attached to the deck might need to be welded or screwed on- depends on the kit.

How to put a new belt on a troy-built riding lawn mower?

In my experience with belts going to cars and industrial machinery the belt always runs over a pulley at the motor and the working end. Normally on the motor side there is either a jacking bolt or another kind of tension and holding bolts. First you need to slack that off and get the belt off the motor end and then get it over the working end if you don't have to remove a blade. Then pull the new belt over in the reverse manner and jack the motor back until the belt can be pushed in about 5mm to ensure it is not over tight.

You can’t hurt this thing. It tears through ANY soil, roots etc and does so as well as the big tillers that don’t fit in a household garden. This is useful for small vegetable gardens, but the best use is refreshing the soil around shrubs in your foundation beds. Its litle head gets in tight spaces, and you can drop it straight down into a spot you couldn’t wheel a big tiller into. It gets roots tangled around it, but clears easily. The tines are indestructible, as is all the rest. I’m glad I got the 4-cycle 875R trimmer, because this thing uses all the torque it puts out. A very good investment. Saves a whale of a lot of storage in the garage, too!!!
