Wizard lawn mower will not start OR move?

We have a Wizard lawn mower that was just "repaired" 2 weeks ago. It worked fine last week. Today it will not start. There is total silence when you turn the key. It's not the battery, as we tried jumping it from the car earlier and that didn't help. Also, it will not move when it's in neutral. We were going to push it out of the garage to look at it, but it refuses to budge even though it's in neutral. It's like there's an invisible break holding it in place. A friend thought it might be some sort of switch where the wires have come loose, but we have no idea where to look for such a thing. If anyone has any ideas on how to fix this, it would be GREATLY appreciated. Have a great day!

Sounds like the Engine siezed, and this would cause the wheels NOT to turn. Take it bsack, they screwed it up.

I am looking a wizard plus riding lawn mower with 42inch cut deck?

Are you asking for comments on the quality of the wizard lawn mower?

If so, find out who manufactures it and then look for the same model but with the least expensive brand label stuck on it.

For example, Toro produces most of the lawn mowers on the market today. They just stick Craftsman, Lawn King, and several other brand stickers on the same machines and sell them for different prices.

Anyone know where to find info on old Wizard lawn mowers?

I've done a search on Google, Yahoo and Ebay hoping to spot model differences. No luck.

Who makes Wizard Lawn Mowers & are they any good?

I think they were made by Murray. I have a real oldie probably made in the 80s and was purchased from Western Auto. I bought it used and it still runs like a clock. It's a little rider but is just perfect for my one acre yard.

My Bamp;S engine in a Wizard lawn tractor purchased... - JustAnswer

My B&S engine in a Wizard lawn tractor purchased from Western Auto in 1992 has lost the muffler twice. Just had it replaced again and got the mower back on Monday. Mowed the grass and the muffler was loose and ready to fall off again. Have been told the threads are stripped where the muffler fastens into the motor. What is the fix? The I/C Model Series is 286707.
