Im thinking about starting to race riding lawn mowers but I don't have a trailer to put my lawn mower in. So can I use ramps to lift my lawn mower into the bed of my truck?

Yes, metal ramps for this exact purpose are readily available. Your local mower service centre will have some for collecting/delivering mowers, they may not mind you asking where you can buy them from. If you are leaving the cutting deck on (and assuming it is centre-mounted) the key thing is to ensure that the deck does not snag as the front wheels go down on to the bed of the truck, the ramps need to be long enough (or arched) to give a fairly shallow gradient as the tractor goes on to the truck (and obviously the deck must be in highest position). As already said, the ramps must be fixed securely to the truck. Do not use timber, there is a risk of splitting/breakage, which could result in a serious and expensive accident.

This must be a man thing... my husband Armor All's his tractor tires and I swear he waxed it once. He also power washes it at least once a month.

If he could, I bet he would white letter the outside walls of his tire and add flames or something to the side. You can get the flames or lettering from a print shop that does decals for public transportation vehicles (at least that is what he did for a RC tractor trailer he has).

I want to use a riding lawn mower engine and trans to power my new go-kart. The go kart will be used mainly to pull boat trailers, so I need some torque out of this engine, but I would also like to have a cruising gear. Any suggestions?

i have a 1998 murray 40 inch cut riding lawn mower.where is the alternator at or sapost to be at on my riding lawn mower i can't find it?it might be hidden under a panal or some thing?i have trouble with my mower when i turn the lights on,(the engine shuts off) but the lights stay on?so i can't drive it with the lights on.if the alternator was working the engine would stay on with the lights on.i move a lot off stuff,lawn stuff and garage tools with my mower and trailer at night.i live on a farm,but i work as a tree trimmer not a farmer.also the starter switch is not working and the red wire wire melted i had to disconect the battery to get the starter to stop lol.i just been jump starting the mower.i was going to buy a new alternator for my riding mower but i can't find the old one?where is it at?please help ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ is it ok to use synthetic 5w-30 motor oil on my echo chainsaw in stead of bar oil?
that is the only motor oil i got right now and i have to cut down (12) 10 or 12 inch inch trees tomorrow.thay are in my back yard.

i am not excatly sure to much about Murray Riding mowers i work on Johndeere and cub cadet but on both of those they are around the fly wheel. ...and about the chainsaw . i have had 2 or 3 saws come in to my shop with scorched blade. and that was from not using lubrication. any oil will basically work just the thicker kind. u should be alright there..

can i get a ticket for driveing my rideing lawn mower on some back roads?i want to drive my riding lawn mower and a small lawn trailer 4x4 foot, 8 blocks to pick up some stuff?24 concrete block.i will try to stay off the roads as best as i can.but i have two block only road. i would take my atv yamaha 250 and trailer but i'm for sure i would get a ticket then?i live in jax fl.have you ever got a ticket for driveing a rideing mower on the side of the road before?
its a public road the speed limit is 10 or 20 miles on hour.my mower is a murry 40 inch i do move over for cars. my mower can only go 5 or 10 miles an hour i can go 4 blocks a minute?i have to go over 3 train tracks first.is it ok if i drive on the side walk some times.

I don't think so? I work for a large land care co. There has been times we had a mow job a few miles away . We just drove the mower to the job. This is in Sacramento,CA. Just wear a orange safety vest.
