You may have internal transmission problems. Trans axles are not exactly what I would call "D-I-Y" friendly. They are full of iddy-biddy needle bearings that are a snap to loose, and are tough to put back correctly! As bad as I hate to say this, call the man who knows how to fix this!
Nice spring day, I let the lawn get too long and the dandelions were too tall to cut with my reel mower. The mower of choice today was my 1993 MTD ...
My yard machine blade will not engage (38" Blade cut, 125 HP) it starts up, everything else appears in working order. I think it may be a belt or spring, because when i engage the lever there is no tention, as if a spring or belt is worn or broken. Would this be an easy fix job? I don't have mechanic experence? Does anyone know of any sites that would take me thru step by step on what i need to do to fix it or can anyone tell me how to fix it
125 hp? or 12.5 h.p.
give make and model number, so someone can maybe help ya.
How do I get air in or do I have to buy anew tire and rim with air all ready in.
Normally those are tubeless tires, but if the tire was being a problem, someone may have put in a tube. If the tubes get low on air and you don't catch it, the tube can spin, pulling the valve stem with it.
The other possiblility is that it does not have a tube, but the valve stem just broke off, and the backside of it is floating around in your tire somewhere.
Check both sides of the rim, you should find either a valve stem, or the hole once occupied by it. If you find just a hole, your going to have to dismount the tire no matter what you do, but I would recommend putting in a tube if there isn't one already in there.
I have a Yard Machine riding lawn mower with 14.5 HP, 42" deck, and automatic drive. I don't know much about lawn mowers and this has been in the shop a few times for repairs, it seems every time we get it back something else happens to it, Now it won't start, usually the starter gets jammed or something in the motor is broken but this time it doesn't look like the starter is even getting power. . I just put a second new battery in and tried charging the first one so I assume it is not a battery issue, When the key is turned it just clicks, the starter doesn't move and the clicking is coming from under the seat I think. Before the clicking the first time I attempted to start it , the motor was turning over very slowly, I checked the oil, it was low so I put a little in, then I tried to start it again and that's when the clicking started. now all it will do is click. Anyone know what could be wrong? The grass is well over a foot and the landlord isn't happy.
The click is the starter solenoid. That means it is working. It sounds like the battery is low or you have a bad connection. Remove the cable from the starter and check the voltage at that cable. It should be 12 volts. Did you charge the new battery? They don't all come charged. With a volt meter the batter should have 12.6 volts or so. Less and it won't start the engine.
I need a more then a 2 gallon gas tank that will fit in my riding lawn mower I have a yard machine
I think Yard Machines are MTD's, but I'm not sure. Google up MTD and check the links until you find what you are looking for.
Yard Machines 13AM772F000 38-Inch 358cc 15-1/2 HP 7 Speed Briggs ...
I thought I was getting a good deal when I bought this. Boy, was I sorely mistaken! This is, without a doubt, the WORST car I have ever driven. To start with, the tiny engine the cheapskate manufacturers put in won't go any faster then ten miles per hour. What the freak is the point of driving ten miles per hour? I might as well walk! I would probably look cooler walking than in this piece of trash. Everyone was passing me up on the freeway and giving me the finger. And then later a cop pulled me over for going to slow and not having any brake lights or mirrors. What kind of stupid company is this? A car without freaking brake lights or mirrors? Do they expect me to use this in freaking India?...
