We probably have only used it 4 or 5 times on our smaller lawn. We were using it in pretty long grass when it started and we cleaned the grass out, the blade is sturdy and can't see anything that it might be hitting. It almost seems like it might be more in the engine. Any Ideas?

CHECK THE OIL LEVEL NOW.
i would take the mower to be looked at while it's still underrwarrantyy. check your owners manuel as to where to take it. once thewarrantyy period is up it will then be on you to pay to have it fixed.
that's a quality mower so don't hesitate to have it looked at NOW.

I have a 32 inch walk behind commercial lawn mower made by Toro. It seems like the grass looks uneven when I mow. When I cut with my 22 inch regular lawn mower made by John Deere, the grass looks all right. Why does my $500 mower do a better job at cutting than my $4,000 mower?

I also had a problem with this. I have a 61" Bobcat that has three blades, the middle spindle was loose so the blade had a bit of a angle when I cut. You could have the same deal, or you have hit a stone and bent the blade. It also could be you need a blade sharpen..You could also check your height adjustments at your front castor wheels and rear drive wheels..make sure they are the same setting...Good Luck!

We were doing the humpa humpa in my Toro lawn mower while I was mowing the front yard. Now she wants to join in. This creates a big problem. Several actually. The mower isn't big enough for three and with the slope and all. probably not powerfull enough. And what would the neigbors think? Plus I still have to get the d*** grass mowed. I could have my son do it, but that would mean there would be four people on the poor Toro.

you should have a lawn boy. the weight load ratio is much higher than a toro. you could strap a couch on it, and have room for your gf, your wife, your son, and your dog!

I have a Toro tractor, 46" deck, 3 blades.

center blade is a little smaller than the 2 outer blades.

I took them off sharpened them and now left wondering if there is a specific way to put them back on.

I have them on now in a sychronized fashion.
Outer blades slanted like the letter W opposite each other.
And the center blade mounted so that the 2 outer blades when rotated, DON'T come end to end with the center balde at any point.
I did this for fear that if a rock got sucked up and the 2 ends of the blade came together, the rock would jam the blades and break something.

As it is now, the ends of the blades when rotating don't ever come near each other.
But the problem I am seeing on the lawn is a thin streak of uncut grass on each pass.
The blades are on correctly, but my question might be confusing.
It is the position or angle of the blades
relative to one another.

Rule #1 - when you take something strange apart, note on a piece of paper what you removed and in which order. Man- it will save you so much time and worry.
